Saved

The Bible says, “…Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes” (Romans 10:4).

For, “The righteous shall live by faith” (Romans 1:5)…or, “those who are by faith righteous shall live.”

“…because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved…

For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:9-10, 13).

Saved!!!

From what?

1.  Saved from sin’s guilt. “For there is therefore no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1).

2.  Saved from sins power. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Believers are no longer are slaves to sin. They have the power to live differently, though they don’t yet live exactly perfect. Only in heaven will they be perfect, for then they will be like Christ (1 John 3:2).

3.  Saved from sin’s death penalty. Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live” (John 11:25).

Jesus told the dying thief on the cross who believed, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise” (Luke 23:43).
